Previously we discussed Site Cost as part of the overall budget for your new home.

In order to prepare a site cost estimate for you, we will need to visit your land.  At NO COST to you, we will have a skilled and trained eye come to your land to evaluate future site costs for your new dream home. We then will prepare a detailed estimate for your review.

Items that will be evaluated at your site visit

  1. Review of your land topography, drainage, easements, building lines, and setbacks.
  2. Review of your community deed restrictions.
  3. Builder review of best and/or most cost effective location of your home.
  4. Assessment of need for type and size of septic systems.
  5. Assessment of need for type and size of water well.
  6. Assessment of utilities situation (i.e. water, electric, gas, etc.)
  7. Estimation of cost for land clearing and/or excavation.
  8. Measurement of slope of lot and its effect on foundation size.
  9. Staking of the proposed location of the home for future soils analysis to determine soil density.
  10. Measurement and estimation of cost for future construction roads, driveways and culverts.
  11. Discussions with homeowner regarding any other questions or concerns.
