DEVELOPING A BUDGET

In developing a plan we lead your imagination across the canvas of possibilities for your new dream home!  In this step, we will transcribe that imagination onto paper and into a budget.

What goes into a budget you may ask?

There are three main components of a home project budget.  These components are 1) Land Cost, 2) House Cost, and  3) Site Cost.

Land Cost is quite simply the price paid for the property where you plan to build your new home.

Most new homeowners have already purchased their property when they visit our sales offices. However, if you do not already own your land, we can assist you with locating the perfect piece of property.

House Cost is the overall price estimated to build your new home from the foundation up.

This cost can be determined after visiting your sales consultant and providing them with the information you compiled in your Personal Portfolio. As a custom homebuilder, we understand that each customer has individual preferences and desires in their home, and Sierra will work with you to personalize the features in your home to suit your specific lifestyle and reach your budget goals.

Site Cost refers to those items necessary to prepare your land for your new home.

These vary by location and can include such items as lot clearing, water wells, tap fees, etc. Your sales consultant and builder will work together to provide you a detailed list of these costs.
